Modify any website with small downloadable scripts.
Webs and services that Internet put at the disposal of the users nowadays are really complete, nevertheless, there are always
small modifications that each user thinks that a website could do with, and that would probably come in very handy if they where implemented, but if these improvements never arrive officially, we will always have the option of installing
Greasemonkey.
This
complement for Firefox is extremely useful, even though it can be used for anything on its own, but it does allow to
install and launch as many scripts as we want. All the scripts are available on the Userscripts.org website, where we will be able to find thousands of scripts for all kinds of services, from
adding buttons to your e-mail server to
modify the Facebook galleries, or make the Facebook menus more accessible. There are even scripts that change the full design of a website, like YouTube. As well as the scripts that modify websites, there are also some to
automate tasks, very useful in online games that work by means of the browser.
Once installed,
Greasemonkey will show an
icon in the Firefox status bar, and if we find any
script that we are interested in, we will only have to install it from the web for this plug-in to capture it, and launch it automatically.
Requirements: This
download requires that you have Mozilla Firefox installed.
